Where do I park?
Meter parking (free after 9:00 p.m.) is available in the area, and the paved lot to the north of Bemis Center will be open for guests attending the Benefit Art Auction + Concert, however, we can not guarantee availability. MAP

How does the auction benefit Bemis Center?
The Benefit Art Auction highlights the forward-thinking, diverse, and at times provocative nature of contemporary art. By celebrating these values, the Benefit is an ideal opportunity for the public to support creativity in a tangible way. All proceeds are reinvested into the Bemis Center's artist-centric programs that advance the work of today's artists year-round.
How many artists are participating in the auction?
215 local, regional, and national artists practicing in all mediums are participating, presenting 300 works of art.
What are my ticket options?

BENEFIT ART AUCTION
Early admission: $65 per person (limit 4) may be purchased online only, August 18–26
Regular admission: $100 per person, August 27–October 26
At the door: $125 per person, October 26 (pending availability)

All prices include tax.
Will I receive an actual paper ticket?
No. At check-in at the Benefit Art Auction you will be given an event catalog with your assigned bid number printed on it. If you are also attending the Concert you will receive a wristband for entrance. If you are attending the Concert only, you will be placed on a guest list. When you arrive at the Okada Sculpture & Ceramics Facility, you (and your guests) will be admitted via the guest list.
What is the attire?
Your Bemis best! In the past it has been a mixed crowd from casual in denim to cocktail attire.
What time does each event start?
The doors for the Benefit Art Auction open at 5:30 p.m. and silent auction bidding will begin. The three galleries and presentation space will each serve as an auction section, closing sequentially at 7:45 p.m., 8:15 p.m., 8:45 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.
The Concert doors will open at 9:30 p.m. with Destroyer (solo) scheduled for 10:00 p.m. and Azure Ray at 11:00 p.m.
What is the starting bid on the silent auction?
The starting bid for artwork featured in the silent auction is 60% of the retail price provided by the artist (including framing, if applicable).

Hear current artists-in-residence and our Curator-in-Residence talk about their artistic and curatorial practices, take advantage of the rare chance to visit artist-in-residence studios, and participate in an all-ages, hands-on art activity. Are there opportunities to purchase works before the event?

What is "Buy It Now?"
The “Buy It Now” price is calculated as 150% of retail (including framing, if applicable). You have an opportunity to buy artworks at the “Buy It Now” price prior to the night of the Benefit Art Auction. Contact Ellie Novak at 402.341.7130 x 16 or email@example.com for more information.
What is absentee bidding?
If you are unable to attend, but would like to bid on auction items, a Bemis Center representative will be available to make your bids for you. Our commitment to you is to bid conservatively on both silent and live auction items. For the live auction items, we will also only bid in auctioneer prescribed increments until you either win the piece or are eliminated by the first competing bid higher than your stated maximum. What if the bidding stops before my maximum bid?
If the bidding ends anywhere below your stated maximum bid, you win the artwork at the final bidding price.
What happens if the bidding goes over my maximum bid?
Your bidding ends once your stated maximum is surpassed by another bidder. If you truly desire a specific work of art, please consider bidding at a higher-than-anticipated price to win the piece.
When will I know if my bid was successful?
The outcome of your absentee bid will be communicated in an email sent to you. Transactions for winning bids will also be processed the night of the Benefit Art Auction. Arrangements for pick-up, delivery, or shipping of artwork may be made beginning Wednesday, October 31, by contacting Aileen Tobin at email@example.com or 402.341.7130 x 10.
How do I register for absentee bidding?
Contact Ellie Novak at 402.341.7130 x 16 or firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information. There is a $10 administrative fee to register as an absentee bidder. You will be required to give your credit card information. All bids must be submitted before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25.
